Two Michelin Stars Retained!

Posted in News on 8th February 2024

Last Monday on the 5th February, The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Great Britain & Ireland 2024 took place at The Midland Hotel in Manchester – a place close to our hearts as both Patrick Guilbaud and our Head Chef Kieran Glennon started their careers there. We were thrilled to retain our two precious stars and also to see two stars awarded to Terre at the Castlemartyr Resort as well as a star a piece to The Bishop’s Buttery at the Cashel Palace Hotel, D’Olier Street Restaurant and the Homestead Cottage Doolin. It was another wonderful year for the culinary industry in Ireland and we are honoured to be a part of it. You can star gaze the new arrivals and retainers right here

MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Two Stars: Excellent cooking

This iconic restaurant has been thriving since 1981, thanks to both the eponymous chef and the exceptional team he has around him. It sits hidden away within a Georgian townhouse and oozes sumptuousness and sophistication thanks to features such as a gilt barrel ceiling and hand-crafted marquetry. The accomplished cooking isn’t to be upstaged, however: it is French at heart yet has a restrained modernity and showcases some bold yet superbly balanced flavours. The Irish ingredients are certainly luxurious, and both the wine cellar and the wine list are works of art.
